A Software Company with Laboratory Expertise
TimeKeeper® America (TKA) is a software company based on fifty years of laboratory experience. TKA initially was conceived of by Mr. Gerry Hall. Through the course of program evolution four teams of software developers were employed. The final program flavor was created by Mr. Dan Aven. TKA is designed to address two issues. 1) Help users always have current and accurate records of certain actions. This facilitates being prepared whenever an auditor walks through the door. 2) Maximize performance of labs and plants. When facilities, instruments, equipment and chemicals are maintained to recommendations, down time is decreased - productivity is increased. Be always prepared for an audit. Maximize productivity based on the principles of “Just in Time Manufacturing”, “Zero Defects” and Deming’s programs for quality manufacturing. TKA was an idea just waiting for this technology - the widespread utilization of business computers.



Unique Features
Certain features give TKA its patent worthy position. A “Look Ahead Scheduler®” not only schedules, tracks and documents actions but also links to manuals to help insure actions are performed correctly. LIMS programs do a good job of tracking samples from collection through to data generation and to final reports. TKA takes all the other lab responsibilities to give the user a platform to complete and securely document these other functions.



Future Directions
Most software is a work in progress. In this industry requirements change as state and federal agencies modify their record keeping requirements. Other changes occur through evolution of new user applications and through implementation of new technologies. We strive to stay current to new applications and new requirements..
